Boing's Models 377 is arguable the definitive design of the great propliner era of the 1950. Its portly, blunt-nosed exterior hid a cabin that was built for the ulmost comfort, in an age when only the very rich could afford to fly. Only 56 Stratocruiser were ever built, but the design had an impact and inspired a love out of all proportion to its number. Stratocruiser have become synonymous with luxury air travel.
